Description
Generic ice as used in mixed drinks is specified in several forms: cube, crushed, cracked, lump, shaved, or snow. Lump & cracked are essentially the same and a SMALL cube would substitute. Cube indicates a larger cube such as found at home. Shaved and snow are essentially the same. Crushed is a coarser, less broken-up version of shaved and is also the same as "fine ice". Dry ice is frozen carbon dioxide - and is occasionally used in drinks for its bubbling, vaporous effect.
