Generic for a golden mixture of the glucose and fructose byproducts of sugar manufacture, and used as a sweetening agent in some mixed drinks. Commercial brands include Lyon's and Steen's. Can be a blend of molasses, invert sugar, and corn syrup used as a table condiment. See also syrup and simple syrup.
