Proprietary carbonated lemon-lime soft drink created in 1929. Originally popular in Prohibition-era speakeasies, it is still used frequently in mixed drinks (though rarely in cocktails), notably the Pimm's Cup. The brand is currently owned by candy and soft drink maker Cadbury Schweppes.
